Vesuv set i aftenskumringen hen over Vico Equense's tage. Man kan uden større besvær bestige vulkanen - man kører nemlig ca. to trediedele af vejen op, og tilbagelægger det sidste stykke til fods (Ca. 25 minutter). For foden af vulkanen ligger Pompei, der bestemt er et besøg værd.
	Vesuvius seen in the dusk over the roofs of Vico Equence on the southern side of the Gulf of Napoli. It's quite easy to climb the vulcano - you drive about two thirds of the way up and take an aerial rope way or walk for 25 minutes the rest of the way to the crater. At the foot of the vulcano you may find Pompeii, which is well worth a visit.
